My Snapplate snapped clean off while off roading yesterday. I figure it happened while we were fording a water obstacle. To be fair, I hit that obstacle several times. This video was taken after the snapplate had broken off.

So be sure to take it off if your hitting the trails.

We design SnapPlates to break away before they break the plastic grille on the truck. Most often, it's from a touch car wash, but anything that pulls or pushes hard enough could do it. With that much water moving forward and up, that definitely looks plausible.
