It's really great that we now have pricing on the Adventure Gear upgrades.

Happy to add the cross bars and adventure mats. Chilewhat?

$500 wall charger is a reasonable price.

Snagged that Compressor Accessory kit too.

Man $800 spare tire! I miss the days when this was just included.

Kanundum noted a change in the When can I take delivery portion of the FAQ a portion of which now reads: "All other configurations for both the United States and Canada will begin as early as January 2022."
It doesn't actually say deliveries will begin then though. The prior paragraph says LE guides will reach out by November, and then vaguely says non-LE will begin as early as January.

I interpret that to mean guides *may* start to reach out to non-LE as early as January, with absolutely to definition of when to realistically expect those vehicles to start shipping.

Fully acknowledge this may just be me being paranoid, but being so has been appropriate with their language so far.

Edit: I've emailed CS to ask for clarification, because the wording reads like it's intentionally trying to obscure things.

I'm not a huge off roader so I added
Cross Bars - $450
Wall Charger - $500
Floor mats - $175 (cheaper than weathertech!)
Field Kit - $150 (unnecessary but still kinda cool)
Air compressor - $60

I really hope the charger can be delivered before the vehicle so we can have it installed.

I don't know if it is your run of the mill donut though, it is described as "a compact spare that inflates to full size." Even so, at least it also includes the jack with toolkit, jacking puck and riser base. I think the $450 is certainly worth the peace of mind. Only one of my cars has a spare and that is an uncomfortable feeling; especially considering that highway potholes have claimed three of my tires recently.
Don't get me wrong I'm also paying for that sucker, I just hoped I could pay more for the full size on the R1S.

Yeah, delayed. With an R1S now Launch Edition, I should know by November, if I'm getting a launch edition delivery date in as late as June 2022 = ug! Company don't mention seasons or quarters unless they need room all the way until the end.

I now see the other options, they are just grouped together in different categories.

I actually don't mind the shift in the schedule to the right as it'll let us see more EV options. Maybe just me, but with more EVs, price could trend down. The longer the delay, the less the Rivian seems to be a value for those who are not locked into the off roadiness of the Rivian. I still want to support the local business, but if the delta gets too large, will be tough.

Wow. Another significant delay, announced at the absolute last minute.

Under promise, over deliver.

Under Promise, Under Deliver! Technically we have been hyping our own selves up this whole time so any delay is only a blow to the Ego haha.

Here's to hoping the delay knocks off a couple impatient people in front of me and bumps me up  I did have it wired in my head I'd be getting my LE before end of this year - so a little let down.
