Whether you've bought a set of the new Black Rhino Voltaics (available for immediate shipping) or bought another set of wheels, tire pressure monitoring sensors are key. That's why we've sourced two high-quality options for you, which are now available at Electruck4x4.com. Go with either a genuine OEM replacement or an affordable aftermarket version. Both are great compliments to your new wheels.

Looking for tires? We'll soon be announcing a variety of new options to wrap those custom wheels in. Stay tuned!

My TPMS readout on the dash says the pressure is about 1 or 2 PSI lower that the actual Pressure. I checked each of the tires with a double tested gauge.
As for pressure min. and Max. I have the Scorpion Verde 21" the tire says 50 PSI Max. The truck specs say 48 PSI. cold, the winter increase in temp is seemingly safe, but in summer, 5 PSI increase over the 48 will take me over the tires stated max pressure. How can a tire be required to be kept to a 2 PSI delta?

both tire and rivian sticker recommendations are based on cold tire pressure.

Dumb question I think, but what is difference between these TPMS sensors and the $34/piece on Amazon that works off the shelf with the Rivian. Is there really a difference in quality between TPMS sensors?

Also is the pricing backwards as the OEM is cheaper than the "aftermarket" on the site.

I don't understand your point, I am referring to the TPMS that came in the R1T and the operating system in the dash vs the analog hand held 0 to 60 PSI tire gauge sold by "Slime", reading different pressures at same point in time and place. My point is they read differently, so I compared the Slime one with an NIST calibrated gauge as well as another Slime brand gauge. I do not have another R1T to compare.

Not sure I got your point, but this TPMS ($32) was reported to work perfectly fine on Rivian

Baofu Electronics (the Amazon link) is actually a TPMS supplier for Rivian, so the TPMS sensors are exactly the same as original.

I’ve seen 48 psi cold on a hot day increase to the mid 50s in past vehicles and that’s normal as the air expands as it heats. It also depends on load and even road material. When towing the boat (600 lbs tongue weight), the tires would change psi going down I5 on a 90+ day simply moving from concrete to the hotter asphalt.

I use a 100psi manual gauge for my tires as when I had boats they said it’s better to measure near the middle of the gauge than at the extreme high end.

Agreed, and the tire pressure with both was taken cold in my driveway at same time.
Maybe your TPMS has some issues, mine is reading 48 PSI cold on the dash and I checked using a gauge and got exactly the same PSI. All 4 tires.

Thank you, the onboard and in hand gauge ought to be within half a PSI if a good handheld is used. I will just know the dashboard is off a bit.

I would agree, as well I am not looking to add or replace the OEM TPMS tire units, just commenting that the OEM on the R1T a yr. old, has a bit different reading than the actual pressure in the tires. Likely if/when my R1T is in the Rivian shop, I will ask them to re calibrate the receiver, or replace the sending units at the tire. Likely since all 4 are off the same amount, it is the dashboard OS receiver that is mis reading the sensors that came in the truck and are still on the truck.

Yep, in your case it is very possible.

You’ve got OEM priced at $53 and the Aftermarket at $89 - and least when I’m checking the site is the aftermarket a different quantity?
