What's the point of bringing a review on a base model car, which is irrelevant to this thread or this discussion? Let alone this video is 3 days old so this isn't even a breaking news.Naaw really? /s
No one forced you to look at it. And scroll back. R5 was talked about. If you feel like you have to appoint yourself forum moderator, to justify your existence... that's pretty pathetic. But good for you! What's the point of bringing a review on a base model car, which is irrelevant to this thread or this discussion? But if you feel like this would validate your existence then -- you are successful here. Good job![]()
The R5 Turbo 3E is going to be a GLORIOUS car, and I'd buy one instantly if I was in Europe and could get an allocation. The Rivian R3X - which in my head is wrapped with Martini livery like an 80s Lancia rally car by the way - is certainly more than a little similar to the Renault, but not as bonkers and definitely not as collectible. So maybe some of us who miss out on getting a Turbo 3E can console themselves by getting an R3X... and then getting it wrapped like an 80s rally car.https://www.renault.co.uk/electric-vehicles/r5-turbo-3e.html
i would consider this Renault a competitor to the Rivian R3X, but a direct competitor. The main difference is price with rumors flying that it is going to be €140,000. What do you get for that kind of money? 2 motor Rear drive for 540hp. It features in hub motors which is interesting. The body is stripped out for racing and features a roll cage.
Rivian really needs to fast track production for the EU because the R3X will be a smash hit there If priced anywhere south of €70,000. Because I have a feeling the tri’motor R3X will be able to beat out this new Renault in performance despite it’s road focus and larger size.
If I could buy one here, I would. If I can figure out how to get one here from Europe, I'd might try. I imported a few gray market cars and motorcycles in the past. Only real issue would be if it broke. Might need to find away around the map issues that often pop up too. I wouldn't road trip it so I could just use carplay anyway. The R5 Turbo 3E is going to be a GLORIOUS car, and I'd buy one instantly if I was in Europe and could get an allocation.
