I'll be spending time near Pismo beach this summer and storing my RV in Paso Robles. I'm hoping the Pismo RAN will be up and running by then. Staying part of the time at a no hook up state park and planning on powering a small refrigerator and TV with the Rivian. Sure would be nice to have a RAN nearby. There is a Tesla SC near there as a lesser alternative.
Oh nice! I didn't know that a Pismo RAN had been announced! That'll work!

Used the Placerville RAN over the holidays going to/from Lake Tahoe. This is the perfect stopping location from the Bay Area. The site has eight stalls with one set to the side that looks to be for trailers. This site is opposite the Target and it looks like the overall shopping center is expanding. We didn't get into the Food For Less as the Target as a descent grocery section. This station is also right next to the magic dock superchargers...but who needs those when there's a RAN available?

I'll be hard-pressed to visit that EA station in the back to the BofA parking lot that has no bathrooms in downtown Placerville again...
With the Tesla SC’s, including the Magic Dock units, and the RAN chargers, this location should offer plenty of charging opportunity for everyone.

BTW, my replacement A2Z NACS adaptor is being delivered today. When it rains, it pours 😁

Can someone check these out! Coming fast and furious!

https://rivian.com/experience/charging
Does this site track all compatible superchargers (even those that need a converter), or only the v4 ones that don't need any special converters?

I'm asking because I know of at least one supercharger site that works with a converter (I know because I've used it ;-) ), but there is no corresponding green dot on the map on this site.
The Rivian map on the Rivian website is a marketing page meant to give you information about the nationwide network. You shouldn't use this as a trip planner or as a charger locator.

The information there about Rivian chargers is up-to-date and accurate, but it is NOT tracking changes to the Tesla network - the Tesla points haven't been updated since the initial map was posted.

If you are planning a trip, you can use the Rivian navigation (in-car or in-app) to see the live data about which Tesla chargers are open and available. You could also use the Tesla app or web page (https://www.tesla.com/findus - you will have to filter out Tesla-only stations). Both of these places show the exact same information about which Tesla chargers are open.

With eight stalls, then I assume 300kw per two chargers or min 150kw/charger available (requirement for NEVI funding). This is so much better than the older RAN that split 300kw over three chargers when you could be stuck at 100kw max if all three occupied.

As for those dreaded EA station, thank you Rivian and Tesla for never needing to stress over those EA POS stations EVER again.

I used the Placerville ran today. FYI the trailer spot is off to the side of the store away from the pull ins.

Yes. For example, I noticed that the Davis, California Superchargers (off I-80 just west of Sacramento; they've been there since January 19, 2021; 16 stalls) do not appear to be on the Rivian map. I assume that Rivian vehicles can charge there? (Maybe not? Haven't see an R1T or R1S there so far, but I only drive by occasionally.) (Also nothing for West Sacramento Rivian Service Center. I would assume that there are chargers there for customers? Maybe not, also.)

BTW, for those who might be experiencing similar difficulties, I was unable to access the Rivian map for some time. Multiple tries. Finally today used a different browser (Microsoft Edge) and voilà! So something about Firefox (maybe anti-advertising app?) was blocking it.

I had a similar problem with the yellow banner of classified rules here on this Forum site. Lesson: Good to have backup browser.

Was in Pismo Beach yesterday, and took a look at the RAN site, and it's very far along. The charging posts and cabinets are in place. Still waiting for the transformer and switchgear(?), and there were bases for parking lot lighting waiting for fixtures. Hopefully, PG&E's backlog of transformer installations is short, and they can get the work finished up in the upcoming weeks.
