How about OnX? Off road mapping would be way more useful to me than pitch/yaw data
GaiaGPS over OnX for me. But hey, this is yet another problem with the truck that would've been solved by CarPlay since it would already be supported.

Gaia or TrailsOffroad please... OnX is a data privacy mess, and less useful in my area at least.

Perhaps they are testing the "bolt on crawler gearboxes" with integrated software suggested in one of their patents?

one can hope but i doubt thats coming anytime soon. i think we all know the data is there but Rivian just hasnt opened it up. itd be cool if they do.

as i recall the last couple of times they had vehicles in the rebelle rally, they had special software versions running, per rules/requirements of the rally. Rivian likely installed a version that provides more detailed status and diagnostic data. the event is probably a testing/proving ground for them so wouldnt surprise me if they are running non-stock software.

I think its funny that one of the sponsors is mapbox, but GPS and any other digital navigation is forbidden in the rally. :)

The first time they ran in the rally is why we have Sand Mode. Team struggled the final day in the deep sand and kept getting stuck. Sand Mode was developed/released a while after. It's genuinely why I like them continuing to do these kinds of things - and racing up Pikes Peak - with almost entirely stock vehicles. Because unlike so many other automakers who tout their racing heritage as trickling down to their vehicles (and it does... VERY slowly), Rivian can literally release the update in a few months of development and testing and their entire fleet benefits from lessons learned. It's kind of amazing honestly. Sure, hardware gains aren't so easy, but new drive modes, suspension tuning, cooling system management, battery/inverter/motor management, new camera views.. a LOT of things can take the R&D efforts utilized to push the vehicles to their limits at Rebelle Rally, or Pikes Peak, or whatever else and then immediately improve the experience for the average user. The turnaround time for that is something that shouldn't be taken for granted.

It can also give customers confidence in their vehicles. We might never rally our vehicles, but there is something reassuring when you see them successful at that.

They had to nerf the gps.
