I think I saw this on Reddit recently and the driver was the poster. Said something like he talked to the McLaren owner to show him (and police) the video and the guy said he'd literally just picked it up from the shop after $100k worth of upgrades.

Man that is a sad sad clip. And there is absolutely nothing he could have done about that. Even if he hadn't hit the 570, he would have still hit all those other cars.

That's exactly what I was thinking. This was a Batman, Dark Knight move...sports car speeding up to take the hit. Great scene.
