Me too and easier to clean. If they offer plain aluminum option it would be clearly my first choice. Under car clean airflow is important too. At the same time, does the "venting" on the Rival actual help keep anything cooler?
Airflow is definitely something we consider in our designs. The factory Rivian skid plate does not include any venting in that area, which tells us that from an engineering perspective, Rivian didn’t see a need for airflow or cooling through that section. Adding venting where none existed can actually introduce unwanted "drag" and create new entry points for mud, sand, and debris. Our design follows Rivian’s original approach: keeping that area sealed for smooth airflow and optimal protection.
