Great update and one big question from me.

What happens if I don’t pay the $2.99 a month? Would the device cease to function?

Finally got an email. Very excited about where this is headed. I am absolutely in for one. Definitely will show it to a bunch of people I know in Dallas.

I would definitely be interested in what data you can pull to show power/load, maybe an instantaneous efficiency meter, texting, etc. I have a big wish list.

What exactly is EV Play? It much on the website. Dos this hijack the built in screen or require additional hardware?

It's a piece of hardware that will, by using a remote, switch between the Rivian screen and CarPlay on the main infotainment screen.

I'm really looking forward to this coming out. I bought the EV Sportline screen immediately when it was released and it sat in a box until this weekend when I finally installed it in our 2016 Highlander. There was absolutely no way my wife was going to let me add another screen to HER Rivian!

Is $36/year really that much? It would be, by far, the cheapest subscription I have!

The device will continue to function regardless of whether or not you opt for the $2.99/mo. subscription. The subscription is to help offset the cost of new feature development, updates, and customer support. Some people want that, some people don't....so the subscription is optional (but highly recommended). I have a lot of amazing features planned for EV Play.

I tried to make it ridiculously cheap, almost comically so. Every bit helps since those things can add up...especially development costs and customer support.
