It took a little bit longer, because we wanted to make it as perfect as possible.

We are excited to present a new Rivian design built to be tough.

Meet [AW08] 20x8.5 ET42, which is designed to be our version of a good-looking off-road rim.

• Spokes: The wheel has 12 spokes connecting the central hub to the outer rim. This arrangement, combined with two inner circles, ensures maximum strength and rigidity while keeping the wheel’s weight to a minimum, enhancing both performance and efficiency.

• Central Cap: The central part of the wheel includes a faux cap design that appears to be a separate piece but is actually integrated into the wheel. It is covered by a 65mm aluminum cap, ensuring a seamless and clean look.

• Outer Rim: The outer rim is adorned with decorative elements that give the appearance of beadlock wheels. These elements enhance the aesthetic appeal of the wheel, making it look rugged and ready for off-road adventures.

We increased the payload of the wheel by 20%, from 1170 kg to 1400 kg. This enhanced rigidity provides extra confidence for your off-road experience. The wheel weight is 38.5 lbs.

The price is $685

In a few days, we will start pre-orders with a 20% discount. This design will be offered in gloss black, satin black, satin gunmetal, and satin bronze.

We welcome any feedback from the community. We still can make some adjustments before we start crafting them. We are eager to hear your thoughts guys.

They look great, but any plans to build them without the fake beadlock look?

It’s hard to make a design that everyone is happy with. Of course, we can also make them without a fake beadlock look. If the majority thinks we need to remove it, we will do so without hesitation. We are happy to remind you guys that we can craft the design of your choice as part of our custom-made rims program.

I had the same question/request. This is the look I'd like when I eventually replace my 21s.
The second request - let us craft a new variant without this element then.

I’d prefer no beadlock look.

I'd vote without the fake bead lock also. Less machine time, win-win. The one thing that stands out to me... this design doesn't offer the valve additional protection, over road oriented designs.

I recommend creating a poll. I will not buy wheels with fake bead lock. These look good otherwise.

They look great minus the fake beadlock and fake 2-piece wheel bolt decorations.

Also, 38.5 lbs for a 20x8.5 forged wheel? That's no different from stock Rivian wheels. Would have thought forged will be lighter than stock. What material are you using?

doubling down... would prefer a thicker bead protector and valve stem protector than fake beadlock look any day.

also...whats the offset?

So far, nobody supports the idea of fake bead lock. We will kill it and publish a new one soon. ET42 to offer 6 mm more aggressive offset as it’s an off-road wheel. Do you guys prefer it to keep OEM?
