They definitely are similar, though the vents being around the rim rather than hub look cooler and evoke turbine wheels (I doubt they have the brake fan effect since they don’t have the internal fins), but definitely a higher aero drag than the holes at the hub like the range wheels. There have been some studies about the design, and I’m not surprised rivian went that direction for the new range wheels (which I really like).

@Atomic Wheels these are super cool! I didn’t think about hub covers for my set! This really is a great touch to the design. Super excited y’all brought these to the game…can’t wait to see more rivian drivers show they “get it” by sporting these! (See spoiler for my custom AW wheels that are similar design)
