Need advice for PPF on new R1S

Hello everyone,

At last got our Rivian R1S Blue, last Friday and we are happy so far.

Sorry if this was posted/discussed before, I did a search but didn't find threads.

I need advice on PFF -
Is it recommended?
Is it worth the cost. I called around Chicago area and got quotes from $4500 to $7500 for entire vehicle.
I heard there are different brands of PFF - any preference on brand?
Can we DIY PFF, if so how much will these kits cost?

Please post any links for DIY. If you are in Chicago area please post your recommendation for local installers.

Go for Llumar Valor or SunTek reaction over XPEL. You'll save a decent amount.

I recommend the following areas covered:

• Hood, bumper and fenders
• Headlights and lightbar
• Side mirrors
• A pillars up to roofline
• Roof panel between windshield and roof glass

On my R1T, I opted for the additional areas:

• Recovering of gear tunnels
• Lower section of passenger doors (below body line)
• Entire tailgate
• Rear lightbar

My work was done in the DC Metro area, so I don't have any recommendations for the Chicago area. Hopefully someone else can chime in for that.

Thanks guys. I urgently need to install PPF for door steps, kids are scratching while getting in/out.

Any vendor who sells PPF to cover the entire door entry panels.
twraps.com sells a pre cut model but I believe it doesn't cover entire painted area?

I personally did Rivian’s full body expel stealth kit at a great discount and am stoked on how it came out. If you look closely in a few areas you can tell the edges aren’t tucked, but the stealth does a very good job hiding it.
