I have selected that my on board navigation should not avoid tolls (I'm okay with them for speed and convenience in most cases). However, once we start the trip the navigation keeps trying to avoid tolls, often choosing a more circuitous, complicated and longer route than actually shows on the map when we initially planned the trip. Many of the toll roads near me are to avoid the congestion on the same trail, like a bypass, which greatly speeds things up and is more stress free. I paid for my pass for a reason. Even if I take the bypass (tollway) the navigation keeps trying to get me to exit at every exit along the way to avoid the tolls. I couldn't find anything in my phone app regarding this. Is anyone else experiencing this, or do I need to do something obvious that I am not seeing? I have started just using my phone app to get me there, and I have my Garmin (for those times when LTE disappears). Otherwise, I like the native navigation of the RT1 and the convenience of having it on my nice sized screen.
