J-bolts. I personally wouldn't trust them but hey, it's his unique truck, not mine.Hohoho. I was wondering how those Yakima racks are being attached on the truck bed rails? They usually have to clamp around the bed rail, and you have your tonneau cover on.
Why not? Is your concern with the J-bolt itself or the Rivian mounting system in general? I'm considering something like this as my only use-case for a roof height rack would be to haul 12 foot boards from home depot which is just a few miles of surface streets. Sure beats my current system of mounting it to a roof rack of an SUV.J-bolts. I personally wouldn't trust them but hey, it's his unique truck, not mine.
I'm sure they won't encounter a failure over the life of their usage, but I don't like using those types of fasteners since they can straighten out over time. As long as you are checking on them regularly it's probably not a big deal. You really should be doing that with anything that's secured on the outside of the vehicle, since materials can fatigue or stretch from the kind of loads that are involved in driving, especially off-road.Why not? I like the Xmas spirits ... I have order the RC as well. I think its nice, since you have one as well I had asked the question why people are not interested in the Red color.. . any idea? do you have any issues with it?I love decorating my truck. Will not use the rack lights on the highway. I just love having a unique truck. And the green wrap accents the canyon red so weβll. Thank you @twraps for walking me through the light bar install. great product and best service.
Red on front not a good idea. White on back not a good idea. This is because if another vehicle sees these colors and not the vehicle itself they assume your direction of travel. Green is just festive. Haha.I like the Xmas spirits ... I have order the RC as well.
