My poor R1S totaled but saved my life

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and contributions to my post, they have all been super helpful. Here is a little update: yes I have travelers and ran this claim through them. They will subrogate to the other insurance. Turns out other driver went to the hospital the next day (not surprised given what the Corolla looked like). I have whiplash and some next and shoulder pain so doing PT and will be hiring a lawyer for the bodily injury part. But overall I am lucky as I could have been badly injured had the Riv not protected me so well. Turns out other driver was in a Flexcar (like a Zipcar) and so her insurance is actually Avis. Going tomorrow to the lot to grab what I can from the car. Will not be able to get into frunk or even center console as those locked when the cars battery system died. I told travelers I didn’t want to pry center console open to get my stuff because I didn’t want to go more damage. He said that just from the pics he saw that I sent him, he is pretty sure it will be totaled so he said to try pry it open. I also don’t think I can get the speaker because it will also be locked. At least I will get the floor mats! I will let you guys know how the replacement process goes, I really hope I can be made whole in a quad. I also got a PPF stealth and blackout so I want to be made whole so I can do that again. Man it was sweet. So bummed about it but man I am lucky to be not seriously hurt. More to come as this process unfolds.

Glad overall you’re well. Definitely get all the PT and care for full recovery, subrogation is the way to go.

I haven’t read through full thread so may have missed it but grab the charger, first aid kit, compressor kit, for frunk you can do manual release.

I’d suggest chat with Rivian to see if they can advise for unlocking center console/camp speaker.

Were you able to recover more video at all? Makes me worried that a separate dashcam is a must if the power cut off doesn’t save video as well as console gets locked and can’t get the memory device for drive am out anyways.
