My Factory Delivered Customer R1T Launch Green!

We were close enough and lucky enough to take factory delivery today of my Launch Green LE R1T. Been a long time lurker(11/26/2018 reservation) not wanting to get too excited until it happened but today it did!

Great team at the factory today and great experience. Saw the factory floor and what they thought were some new colors they had not seen yet Compass Yellow and the Red(but it looked more orange to me).

After talking a look at the factory then took a R1T ride to the delivery center around back and mine was inside. Simple paper work and they finish the process on your phone to activate the keys. Took a walk around the vehicle with them in the delivery center and then a test drive. Fun times! Then got to to point it toward home and explore a bunch.

Drives very well. Also have the new software update which added a few things like birds eye view and it looked/functioned well.

Hard to say, Rode very nice, tech on the screen was good, had to get used to where stuff is, and just the little things like: built in flashlight/speaker, being able to get into the pass through from the middle seat dropdown. Capable vehicle with nice extras that you paid for.

No not track test. We could see the track and some R1T's on it as the delivery specialist mentioned it, since i could make a first mile event and they got to drive on it then.

I have seen some other employee deliveries at the factory but have not seen any pics of a customer factory delivery. Don't think i am the first, maybe just someone talking about it instead of driving!

Don't suppose you noticed or asked about any delays for interior color choice other than black?

One thing I'm noticing about these deliveries is that they're either coming with, or receiving quickly, the latest updates. As opposed to Tesla, where you wait and wait and wait after getting a new vehicle to get the latest updates. Kinda strange. I like that Rivian is, at least for now, pushing them immediately.

Congratulations! While I wish I was getting mine today, I do take pleasure in the collective Rivian community receiving their trucks -- it's been a long time in the making.

Did you order any extras with the truck? E.g., tent, kitchen, wall charger. I've probably missed it with posts on other deliveries, but I haven't seen anyone talk about anything beyond the cross bars as included at time of delivery.

I would suspect these will slow down to quarterly updates at some point. Right now they are still opening up new doors and adding features so they are pushing them ASAP to get the new stuff out. Being a new product, they have a lot of development being done as well currently so they are also likely trying to keep the updates small in size so they aren't massive updates to run on the R1 systems remotely.
