Pretty thorough G2 walk-through with Sandy Munro and RJ. TIL The "V" in Rivian on the tailgate points to the button to open.

The first thing I noticed when opening the gate for the first time. Pretty smart!

Wish they would do something similar for the frunk. Can never find it on the first try.The first thing I noticed when opening the gate for the first time. Pretty smart!
Yes, RJ's point was because of what you noted for the Tri-Motor, EPA range is ~ 380, but real-life will be more like 400I didn't realize until this video that the Tri-motor, even in conserve, will behave more similar to a dual motor than the Gen 1 quad. While the Tri will run front motor most of the time in Conserve drive mode, it will re-engage the rear motors if the power demand is there from the driver.
Gen 1 quad for any Gen 2 owners reading this, will only run front motors in conserve mode, regardless of driver power demand etc.
I think I’m misreading what you’re saying. To be clear, The OG quad motor uses all 4 motors (including the front motors) whenever they’re needed, in all modes except conserve. In conserve, only the front motors are used and the rear motors are decoupled.Gen 1 quad for any Gen 2 owners reading this, will only run front motors in conserve mode, regardless of driver power demand etc.
RJ is full of it. My Tri in conserve doesn't touch the nearly 3mi/khw it would take to go 400 miles. That is driving 60 mph on a state highway in the country's flattest state (Illinois). That being said it does get much better efficiency than either of my QM did in conserve.Yes, RJ's point was because of what you noted for the Tri-Motor, EPA range is ~ 380, but real-life will be more like 400
LOL I noticed that too. Maybe don't have a 76 yr old guy testing launch mode on a small road in a business park area (is what it looked like). At 11:20, that truck that tried to pass the launching R1S
Welp it IS winter in the Midwest, after all... Did Tri motors get delivered before colder weather? I haven't paid attention.RJ is full of it. Interesting RJ drives in conserve mode (around 9 minute mark) - anyone with Tri-motor know what the impact on the longevity of front tires?
