Has anyone had experience having Rivian deliver a vehicle to your home address (wherever that may be) but register it under a Montana LLC?
I'm considering going this route on my next new vehicle purchase b/c it is a significant savings compared to AZ sales tax and registration fees.
My local sales tax is just under 10%, and the yearly registration fees are based on the value of the vehicle. Using 80k as the price, in round numbers sales tax will be 8k, and the annual registration over 2000.
Montana allows you to set up an LLC, register the vehicle to that, no sales tax, no annual or otherwise inspections, registration is about 300/year. Costs about 1000 to set up and there are companies that will help you do so, remotely, no need to go there.
An example, have not used them (yet) and no affiliation:

Just wondering whether Rivian could handle something outside the norm.
