Driving back from the memorial weekend attending the BMW Norcal motorcycle annual 49er Rally at the Mariposa Fairgrounds. Stopped at a Ran charge station in Manteca (6 chargers) and saw more Rivianites in the wild. I put “Truckla” to the test overpacking whatever I could stuff in the frunk, tunnel, back seat, and truck bed. In the truck bed we had a 8.2 gal Yeti chest, and a Ukkiso Car Fridge 30-50 liter capacity from Amazon. Both coolers did nicely to keep food, beer and wine cold. Hooked up the 110 plug in the back of the truck. Threw in Atacama Redvertz Tent and camp gear we normally take on our BMW bikes. No room to squeeze in a motorcycle in the back, maybe next time. I closed the truck bed with the EV Sportline RMaxx Soft Roll-Up Ned Cover for the R1T. The tonneau cover paid for itself over the weekend. Best purchase besides the R1T I ever made… Might sell my Tonneau cover from Rivian when and if I get it this summer. Got lots of looky-loo’s when the green UFO charging light came on. It was fun camping with “Truckla” on the grass. The only downside was the 30amp/110 outlets but since we weren’t going anywhere we plugged “Truckla” in and walked away.. We may have noticed some battery drainage with the 110 plug/ fridge. Put the R1T in Conserve mode for our trip (313mi) up and back. Only plugged in once going up and back. This relieved our battery anxiety knowing where the best charges were and charging up was seamless. On the way back going thru the Delta, “Truckla” became bug magnet. Lots of cleaning up to do there on the front bumper and windshield. We’re looking forward to more adventures with “Truckla”.
