Someone, could argue, this is membership pricing. Which i think would put the actual price near 60 pennies.

Azbill never said with membership pricing it was cheaper.
Sorry, I guess I think in terms of membership pricing for Tesla since that is the price we pay for our Tesla and for the Rivian, Tesla is obviously the one network where the paid membership makes sense for many people because of its size. Like it or not, every other network needs to have its non-member pricing competitive with Tesla member pricing.

I have no use for the membership, and don't recall ever seeing even 50 cents in AZ (except at EA which are best avoided anyway).

It's hard to compare any rental Chevy Silverado EV to the Rivian. As was stated in an earlier post, the rental fleets are all the work truck spec which includes a cheaper interior and lacks many of the features of the consumer grade trucks.

As far as charging goes, the Silverado EV charges better/faster than most EV trucks out there, provided you are using a charger capable of 800V - Superchargers aren't yet capable of that. Even the Cybertruck, which is 800V, will charge faster at many EA stations that it will at a V3 Supercharger.

The screenshot below (taken from out of spec) shows how much faster the Silverado can charge vs. Gen 1 R1T Large Battery. From 0-80%, it charges faster than the R1T EVER does.

I think both are great trucks for different needs. However to the charging curve point, it better based upon battery size or they would need to put the chargers at movie theaters.

Am I missing how this correlates to charge time?

Charge time isn’t listed on that graph but it’s showing that the Silverado is able to accept considerably more energy throughout the charge so, even though the battery is larger, it will charge much faster than the Rivian.

It will charge much faster in terms of electrical volume, but you'll be at the charger for the same time if you only make one stop. The Silverado would be slightly quicker if you're making multiple stops.

Movie theaters? I don’t know what you mean but I think the entire point of the graph was lost on you.

The large pack WAS 135kwh. Silverado is 205kwh. The large pack is 65% of the Silverado’s. From 0-65% the Silverado charges between 350+kw to 250kw… faster than the R1T ever charges even at its fastest. Even if you make only one stop, you’re adding the same amount of power back much faster. The Silverado also gets roughly the same efficiency as the R1T, so I’m not seeing where you are coming from.

From what I’ve seen the Silverado gets a good deal worse efficiency.

Example of Tesla pricing in Phoenix area, peak hours are always high.

While I don't click on random Youtube videos, the comment section highlights what I've been saying for years.

Non-EV owners think that user experience is defined entirely based on having ALL THE RANGE.

Real world user experience is the intersection of range, efficiency, and real-world charging speed.

People over on the Silverado forums are getting lifetime efficiency of between 1.9-2.1 miles/kwh. I'm getting about 2.1 miles/kwh with my R1S. So let's say it's 10, maybe 15% worse. It charges 1.5 times faster(actually closer to 2x).

But whatever. I've highjacked this thread long enough. The data is there in the charts whether we want to believe it or not. I don't really care. I bought a Rivian and not a Silverado.

My comments regarding charging while traveling;
I just completed my third trip from Nashville TN to Palm Springs CA, & return as well as one other long trip from Nashville to western Canada/Vancouver Island and find that I am getting better at getting the charges with less range anxiety partly due to experience and partly due to increasing charger locations. Also found some chargers to definitely avoid. It is still quite expensive at several locations. Most expensive charge for me was just over $100 CDN at a Tesla charger in North Battleford Saskatchewan. I was down to less than 5% and needed close to 100% for the next leg of my trip.
If you find yourself without a GPS in your vehicle there are some apps available that fill the void. ABRP will plan out your trip for you. You can customize stops by certain amenities that you want available to you. I found that there were some chargers not identified on the app.
There is also PlugShare that again will plan the trip and show the charger ratings as well as amenities nearby.
No need to be completely without help.
Other people at the charging stations are almost always ready to share their experiences with chargers nearby or on the route.
My vehicle '23 R1S. All trips completed within the last year.
Still the best charging experience is when I get home and charge for $.13/kwh in my own garage. That is the best convenience of this vehicle.
