- Minute 1 preorder, R1S owner, not leased
- 22 R1S Vin 30xx, 49k miles -> Trade in 52k
- Mid june got the account update for R2
- Tuesday (8/18) got the invite to Order at 2p, Filled out at 345p, phone call from rep at 405. Very quick

- Tuesday night I was adjusting the scheduled charge on my R1 and noticed that my R2 had a VIN assigned (I confirmed on the phone call that I did not) and the 9 step paperwork opened up. I filled out what I could (6/9) and then received a notification yesterday that it had been accepted and to schedule delivery. The car will be at the SC tomorrow or Saturday and my appt is at 0900 on 8/25. I paid cash difference (12,600) and it was a easy ACH bank link. Total Id say I spent 15 minutes from start to finish gathering documents. This is how car buying should be.

- I cannot believe the Ease with which this happened. R1 wasnt bad. It was so early they did home delivery as there was no SC within hundreds of miles. This time much better. I advised rivian to give push notifications when ordering is able. I found the 'waiting' on coastal process to be confusing and feel I got lucky.

- VIN is 690x. Id imagine this was produced in June or july.

Update 8/22...Its at the SC! really happy. Theres 2 other R2s but both with black interior. Esker looks AMAZING for a free color.

This is very intriguing to me. VIN is in the 60XX but we've seen 74XX assigned already. So Rivian made a batch of midnight & coastal cloud cars a few weeks ago at minimum. It seems midnight isn't as popular a color, so I'm surmising they threw in some coastal cloud interiors on the last midnight color paint run. We have yet to see anyone get a VIN for coastal cloud interior otherwise.

VIN is 609x. Id imagine this was produced in June or july.

My VIN 2468 was built on June 30, so I think you are firmly in July with a 6XXX VIN.
Also, is it 609X or 690X? The order sheet has it the other way.

He ordered on Tuesday and today is Saturday lol. Coastal cloud manufacturing must have been in full swing for a few weeks now.

I was asking what time frame it told him, I recognize earliest order window for coastal cloud was tuesday.

Never had an estimate. Asked the guy on the phone. He didn’t know. VIN shows up 3 hours later

Looking good thanks for sharing photos. I love the coastal interior on my R1S, no issues at all after 65k miles with kids and dogs and swamp water... My wife looked at all the color combos and still chose white on white for her R2. Expecting VIN s00n for white on white, paid additional deposit last week after receiving the 'early access to coastal cloud' email from Rivian on 8/18.
