Picked up at Portland Service center yesterday. 13 Feb 2019 reservation. Fun.

I took delivery of my R1S on March 23rd. My original order was 8/21/2019. My delivery window kept getting pushed off and was informed in January that it was moved out again to May-June 2023. A couple of weeks later I got an email offering me the opportunity to purchase a car sooner from the R1S Shop. I had originally ordered a Launch Edition in the Launch Edition green color, with Forest Green interior and 21" wheels. I decided to purchase one from the R1S shop - Midnight/Forest Green interior, Dark 20" all-terrain tires. The next Monday I took it in to get Ceramic Pro coating, chrome delete, and badges removed, except for the Rivian letters which I had painted black. Photos attached.

This is my 5th day driving my R1S and I am completely in LUST with it! At Yakima today, we decided to install the Yakima Stage 2 bike rack on my vehicle with a e-mountain bike from Specialized. After contacting my good friend Jimmy @rivianstories about hitch plate, we successfully removed the cover and installed the Stage 2. Ask you can see from the photos, it does fit, and supports the rack and bike very well. There is a descent gap from the tailgate - but you cannot open the lower hatch while in use. When the bike rack is tilted down, you can open the lift gate with no problems!

I love it - This makes it looks like a total luxury vehicle. Were the tow hooks blacked out as well?

Were the hooks wrapped or painted? Murdered look is sick!

Thanks. They were wrapped. The shop said they could not guarantee how long the tow hook wraps would last, but so far, so good.

My guess is will last right up to the point that the tow hooks are used as tow hooks; which in our use case scenario would hopefully be indefinitely.
