Nearly every tire size and brand including this one has its own thread in the tire sub forum complete with pricing, installation experiences, efficiency ratings etc

You do know that warranty is for defect in the tire and not tire wear right? Why are people so concerned with these crazy tire warranty ???
Technically the warranty does cover tread life and defects. As far as tire warranties go, MICHELIN's isn't the worst.

People look to warranties as an indicator of tire quality, the fact that these warranties are notoriously difficult to realize value from diminishes the usefulness of the tread life warranty as a hallmark.

There's a lot of variables related to a tire's performance, your mileage may vary, but for my money, finding a retailer that will let you test drive or exchange is a much better value in choosing tires.

Link to a good article about why tread life warranties, and another on tire tread life generally.

Brake pads aren't covered by warranty, in case you didn't know.

But, it actually is a mileage/tread life warranty.

? but it actually isn’t. Good luck getting a tire replaced under warranty because it didn’t last 70k miles ?
If you use America’s tire you honor the mileage Warrenty.

I’ve got credit on my last 2 sets for my Tesla, the tires had a 50k mile Warrenty and replaced both times around 30k, got 40% off the new set.

As long as it is even wear related and not an alignment issue you get a prorated credit.

I have had Michelin tires replaced under warrantee due to not meeting mileage expectations twice on my Ram 2500. That is why I only will buy tires from BJ's, Costco or Sam's Club, not to mention that they all include free lifetime road hazard warrantee, balancing, rotation & flat repair (it doesn't hurt that I tip the tech doing the work/rotation, I'm glad to give the guy $10 so I don't have to do it). Just keep up with rotations it's a no brainer in my opinion.

Same. My model S was rear wheel and went through Michelins about every 30K. America’s Tire prorated replacements twice for me provided I had proof they were rotated at 5K miles. They themselves did the rotation so they also held the proof. The key seems to be proper rotation and pressure or its An easy out for them.

2nd this. Recently got credit for my tires from America's tires for my model y. The tires had 45k tread wear warranty. At 27k, they had around 3/32 tread left. Per America's tires, anything below 4/32 is a failure. So I got the difference of 45k - 27k as credit, roughly around 40% per tire.

I've gotten a credit for tires that didn't last as long as expected, multiple times.
They don't replace them; If your tire should last 70k miles and it only lasted 35k, you'll get 50% off the new tires, so you're actually only paying for the milage the you got out of it.
I take advantage of that warranty all the time at Discount tire.
