Looks cool! Mercedes should tread carefully because if you showcase a feature in a pre-production vehicle you are legally obligated to incorporate it into the production models. Potential ramifications include a bunch of people yelling "BAIT AND SWITCH!" in online forums

G Wagon feels so imperialist and smacks of colonialism to me. Can’t get around that connotation…

It’s 3 times the price of the Rivian most likely. I can’t personally see spending 200-300k on a car and being that much happier with it than I am with my 100k dollar Rivian.

Very interesting they use a variable low range gearing. IMO Rivians problem why it sometimes has problems even on mundane obstacles.
