Owning many Mercedes I was once excited about the EQC. That is no longer so. Mercedes has a long ways to go before they will be a competitor in electric vehicles. Mercedes is supposed to be building a battery factory in Tuscaloosa Alabama but nothing mentioned for a long time.

Quote from Daimler website "In the future, electric SUVs of the product and technology brand EQ will roll off the assembly line there as well. In addition, a battery factory is being built near Tuscaloosa’s existing vehicle plant. The facility in Tuscaloosa is thus part of the global battery production network of Mercedes-Benz Cars".

I have no interest in Mercedes, only their potential supply problems with LG Chem.

Jeeps, 2500HD Duramax, will be ordering R1S
I believe the battery supply is already contractually allocated, including to Rivian.

We will see, but pretty sure Rivian/Ford/Amazon is safe.

I truly hope that's the case, however, I still put "contractually" into the category of "best laid plans" and you know what they say about that.
