Maine Rivian Get Together

We discussed a bit in the other thread— who would be interested in either bringing a truck so others can check it out or coming to check out trucks in the Portland area?

I’m getting mine on Tuesday and would be happy to let folks check it out. I attended a similar event in Texas a few weeks ago and it was super helpful to me in finalizing my configuration.

I’m thinking one of the next two Sunday mornings, probably somewhere near the Maine Mall…

Our R1T is in production; so 4 - 6 weeks away. We haven’t seen one yet so would also welcome the opportunity.

How is the charging working out in Maine? We take regular trips to Portland (which should be no problem) and Blue Hill Maine and like to stay on Route 1 and 3 missing the Augusta - Bangor - Ellsworth I-95 corridor.

I think the fastest chargers around are the Electrify America ones, they’re at Walmart in Scarborough, probably other places too. Hopefully the Rivian Adventure Network doesn’t take too long to arrive in Maine.

Good point— let’s tentatively plan on 5/22 @ 10am… will confirm on Wednesday once I have the truck and know I didn’t get rugged on delivery

The downside is… I can’t stop anywhere without being asked about it. Hannaford, the ice cream shop, the kennebunk rest stop, I’m 3/3

The Driver+ requires Rivian to actually map that piece of road by physically driving one of their specially equipped vehicles on that road. There are not that many roads that have been mapped yet. They are starting with major routes, so Maine might have to wait a while.
