I'm experiencing a loud clicking noise or "gear slipping noise" when quickly accelerating from a stop. It seems to be motor/drive shaft related. It mostly occurs when I am in All Purpose with HIGH SUSPENSION setting. This is not the click heard when suspicion is adjusting. It is much louder and directly in relation to acceleration. Also, it starts with rear left motor, but then occurs with both rear motors. Anyone share this experience?

I just discovered this same noise the other day. I like driving around in All Purpose "High" and will get this noise :( If I put the suspension in normal or low there is no noise.

I am not close enough to a SC to get it looked it (4-hr) so will let it go until something bad happens I guess. Then will have them come get it. I believe a SC is opening close to me in first part of 2025. I am in Charlotte, NC.

If you get this looked at by the SC be curious what it is.

Thanks,

Ken~

Yeah...don't do this. With the suspension in high the CV angles are not optimized for power delivery. There's a reason you only get full power in Sport mode with suspension in its lowest setting.

This^. Others have reported similar noises after hard acceleration in high ride height setting.

I avoid using high ride height unless the situation warrants. When it does it usually also involves slow and gentle acceleration. IMO high should not be available in AP mode…should be limited to snow mode and off road modes to prevent this.

So I discovered this is happening for me on AP mode, standard ride height on my Gen2 TriMax R1S.
sound coming from front wheels/CV joint.

It is gone when accelerating in “low” ride height.

Curious if any other TriMax hearing the same? Based on this thread thought, I’ll assume it is “normal”.

Definitely not normal. If you’re hearing a noise other than when you’re in high ride height accelerating hard you should have that checked out by Service. That noise you’re hearing could be something with one of the axles.

I hear no noise when I hit in in AP.
