Kia Niro EV. The Enterprise near the South SF center is tiny, so I was pretty surprised it was an option. I expected a more standard rental-spec econobox.

SSF also gave me the Niro --probably the same one. ;-)

Our service center told us all Rivian owners are entitled to anything up to a full size SUV (Tahoe, standard length Expedition) based on availability. Anything specialty (exotic, luxury, suburban, expedition max) can be upgraded to for a fee at Enterprises discretion. Although depending on the enterprise they will sometimes do even these upgrades for free.

I also got a R1T loaner from service center (Cleveland) of note I was in for a broken windshield not a warranty claim.
When my registration expired due to Rivian botching the initial purchase they paid for a BMW 5 series for ten days.

For the past 10 years of car ownership, I've had to rent a car three times due to service issues/long-term work. Coming into EV for the first time, should we expect more (or should I say less)?

Maybe we've just been lucky in the past...

Nissan Frontier
Rivian SC loaner
Ford F150
Ram 1500 after the aformentioned F150 took a nail in the sidewall
Rivian SC loaner
Currently have a Ford Eco Sport

Nothing major. Just some lingering issues I was putting off until Portland was operating.

Seat calibration
70mph steering wheel shake
Some intermittent exterior button issues
Condensation in the rear lightbar
recall and some other stuff Rivian added

Does anyone have insight from how the Brooklyn SC handles long repairs?

If they give me rideshare credits it won't do much good because I'd blow most of it getting back home to central NJ.

I asked about that, it sounded like R1 loaner first, if available, then rental for NJ. Rideshare if you want, but that doesn't work for NJ and suburbs. They also told me they have been blocked from building and selling in NJ so far by the laws (although Tesla has had quite a few SC for 5+ years ). He kept encouraging me to push on the state to let them in.
