I’ve had my R1T for about 5 weeks and 2000 miles. I am still definitely in the honeymoon stage as it makes me smile every time I see it or drive it.
  • It is truly fun to drive, from the power to the one-pedal driving, to the way it handles. It’s my first EV so some of this may be applicable to other EVs as well but it’s just fun to get in and go.
  • Like a few others, my experience with PAAK has been great. It has annoying moments where it doesn’t unlock until I’m at the door for a moment or it locks when I’m getting something out of the truck bed, but those moments are few and far between. For me. Your mileage may vary.
  • I’ve had to use it as a mobile office a few times and it is very comfortable. Being able to plug in my laptop and use the WiFi hotspot has been an unexpected plus.
  • My use case includes lots of kids sports and the truck excels at shuttling kids to/from fields, with more then enough room for everything from equipment to coolers to chairs, etc. And it can park anywhere.
  • First off-road adventure and first camping trip will both be in October. Expecting great things!
Thanks for sharing! Yep we have a little one too and he's just getting I to sports. I didn't think about coolers and all that. Oh man...it's going to be sweet having a truck. We also have a model y, but clearly a truck is a more versatile option.

1-The ride quality.

Have Model Y versions now, both kinds and the ride is crappy comparatively. Model X didn’t ride this well.

2- Driving it. Very peaceful, tranquil drive.
That's impressive it rides better than the X? Awesome. I had one as well... Y is very harsh... Fun car but excited that the Rivian is on another level.

Haha great list!! What do you mean by turning off all the bling lights? You can turn off certain things?

You can turn off the charging green lights, the compass lights next to each door, the light bars when unlocking and even the cabin lights. The are all cool but I don’t need the attention 😂

Ok- one more…this one is bittersweet. I can see when my family is enjoying my Rivian without me. 😉

If there was one thing I did not know about the rivian it’s that it has internet connected and included. Does this work most places? Can’t imagine off the grid? Would be amazing

I'm almost 4 months in. I still love it. In my Army days we used to say, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again". I'm the squirrel. I got in at the right time on something amazing! The three things I love are:
Phone opening and locking. Works amazing for me.
The "bat" lights on the ground when it is dark. Well done!
The amazing "above" view camera so you can parallel park like an expert or just make sure you are fully in the lines is an amazing feature. Everyone in the car when used was blown away and thought it was magic.

I'm very surprised with how well the phone as a key and proximity key work. I read so many negative comments about it. It works great for me. I walk away, and the vehicle unlocks. I walk up and it locks. I walk close by it not wanting to drive and it stays locked. It doesn't constantly unlock and lock unless and I get very very close.
It does drain your phone battery though. But, hey, that's made to charge and I charge my phone every night, so not a big deal. Worth not having to fumble around for a fob.
New update doesn't seem to drain iPhone now

I believe the internet is AT&T so it would be based on their coverage map.

1. Rivian has actually been listening to their customer base with software updates.
2. They are releasing updates at an incredible pace that have a lot of fixes and quality of life changes.
3. My truck is significantly better today than when I got it in March thanks to the updates.

The look on peoples faces after I do a 0-80 launch.
The best all around vehicle ever made
the screen matches my truck same wheels and color my OCD loves this
also the truck in the screen matches what the truck is doing just yesterday realized if you open or close the tonneau from the screen it shows it moving.
has more storage than a car with the frunk and gear tunnel but still has a bed
