Lincoln city Oregón RAN

Driving from Cannon beach to Crescent city CA. Attempted to charge at the Lincoln city RAN without success. I tried 3 separate chargers and they would all go red after 30 seconds or so. My car would stay white. Contacted Rivian and they walked me through 3 hard resets, but no luck. I’m currently charging at the Newport OR EA, and is working great (who would have thought)
Hoping that the chargers at Coos bay and Crescent city will work.

customer service technician was great! Very kind. Checked in on me to see if I had been able to initiate charging at EA as well.

Bummer. Did you happen to look at the riv app ahead of time? Did it show them all in use? Shows all available right now.
Back in December the Fortuna RAN showed all in use despite an area wide power outage.

they actually showed as available. I think there is something going on with my car. The chargers at Coos bay did not work either and I’m now stuck charging at a EVCS in port Orford

That’s what I’m wondering as well. I’ll have to open a ticket.

There was a recent FW update that allowed for plug and charge. I wonder if that broke something?

Curious to see if this is a one off problem or if it impacts multiple people.

Yep. First time trying RAN. I’ve had no issues with other fast chargers

That’s a good point. Hopefully we’ll get more data from other people

That is so weird! I live in Lincoln City and used the RAN just yesterday. Went from 37% SOC to 100% SOC in 34 minutes. So sorry to hear that you had a bad experience.

well, this answers my question. I suppose the issue is with my truck.

thanks for letting me know that they do work! I was going to try the one in Crescent city but I’ll just stick with EA until my truck gets fixed.
Guess I missed out on the opportunity to get free RAN charging ‍
