I feel like ford stole Rivian’s colors. They have a red-orange Ranger that a colleague of mine is buying, and this Bronco‘s gray looks like what Limestone was supposed to be. I wonder if the Limestone delay was due to Ford making a color so close to Limestone that Rivian had to reformulate.

I mean…you can get a Honda Accord in a color similar to Limestone now. Many manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon so I don’t think it’s a Rivian vs. Ford issue.

I could be wrong here but I think Jeep was the original with this color. They released “Anvil” in 2015 on the Hard Rock edition. Prior to getting my rubicon then in this color, I do not recall any others on the market with this scheme.

Personally, I prefer the Rivian color over Ford cactus by a substantial margin. I really like cactus, but I love limestone.

It is interesting how much lighting makes a difference. The colors are quite similar in the second photo but the fourth photo shows them to be quite different.

It is much less green and iPhones make everything look more blue. It’s a slightly cool light gray. Sometimes it looks a little blue, and rarely a little green… but it always looks gray.

These kinds of comparisons are what we need more of. I have a slate grey Chevy Bolt and hope to see a comparison with that soon. I think it would likely be very similar.

The first time I saw a cement/limestone color like this was on the 2010 Scion tC. I think it was (and still is) a very cool color.
