We (actually wife’s car) were set on launch Green and a “black” interior (it is not really black), but when she saw the Half Moon Gray she liked it a lot more. And the HMG looks way better with the CC interior.

Our window is September/November so the CC interior does not delay anything.

Personally I would never put the light interior in the Launch Green R2.

I'm really torn. I like the Coastal Cloud interior because the all black is just a little monochrome, but my last 2 BMWs have had a black headliner and I really like that. I would definitely get the all weather mats if I got Coastal Cloud.

Does anyone have an opinion on the glacier white with the coastal cloud interior? I'm looking to avoid a hot car - we live in Florida.

One option I am considering is Glacier White with Coastal Cloud. I live in SW Florida and 10 months a year heat is a concern. I would like to see an actual vehicle with that color combo before deciding. It helps that the interior is not entirely a light color. There are some darker colors to add some contrast.

Wife has a Mercedes that is white with beige interior. It looks good because I think there is enough contrast between the white and beige.

Personally I find the black interior not so black and I can see that color looking kind of tired or just a tad bit drab and worn. Even though the quality of Rivian's materials are great in any color. So while the material won't actually be worn; the color can look that way. At least in my opinion. I currently own an R1S with the white interior and it's the first all-white interior I've ever owned. Now I can't see myself going back to black. I love it. I've also wrestled with the exterior color between Catalina or Launch Green. Even Forest Green is in the mix (as I have that color on my current R1S and it's fantastic). I'd say right now we are leaning towards Launch Green with the white interior.

I'm also going with Launch Green. I initially liked Catalina Cove based on the marketing images, but seeing it in person at the Austin Space compared to the Launch Green, I didn't like how murky the Catalina Cove looked outside of direct sunlight.
Same, also in the Austin space, although I was always leaning towards Launch Green.

I was invited to order a couple of weeks ago and nearly pulled the trigger, but being in Austin and knowing my car will primarily be outside (just like my CX-5 is) I had a hard time justifying the dark interior even if it means I won't have to wait to order until August.

But as it stands I don't really need a new car *right now* so I can wait. My son will get my CX-5 at the end of August for his 16th birthday and we can share for a month or two so I'm content to just bide my time for now.
