I'm seeing lots of Launch Edition R1Ts in the Western Canada shop, and am curious if anyone knows where they're coming from since it was a limited availability configuration. Are these just super old stock that got lost and then found? Returns?

There have been a few in my R1T shop here in the boonies. I assume they are trying to use up the LE specific emblems, etc.

They have continued making LEs the entire time. If you know the VIN you can rest assured it's not an old or orphaned truck.

The only difference (as far as the build) between an LE and an AE is the little badge on the dash. So... they need to use up their supply if little badges. Pricing is a little different because you can score some free wheels (LE's are likely less expensive than an AE) and of course the option to have launch green as a color along with the free wrist band (which you will be able to buy for an AE.. so more to the "LE is cheaper".

I was really hoping to nab a LE R1S as well. Never saw one in limestone but there were a few in Launch Green, Blue and White, pickings were slim during quarter end. And when inventory finally opened up, I think it was around four LE out of almost a hundred R1Ses left so I decided to just pull the trigger on an AE.

I picked up an R1T Launch Edition in Launch Green on June 7th. It was made in May. It's a 2023 with all the changes you'd expect on a 2023.

I think it's things like the original reservation holder ended up canceling, but the truck still got made, so it ends up in the shop.

My shop launch edition R1S in Launch Green that I selected in June was equipped with the Off Road Package - a package that didn’t exist back when launch editions could be preordered. Reinforces the notion that launch edition R1S’s are being built just for sale via the shop.
