Wow. The minority of an update saying there would be a later update was correct. Looks like everyone is intelligent enough to know that no hard soft estimates would be provided.

So more info end of Oct. Really pushing my time frame/ability of going carless.

You guys realize what happened, don't you? Someone at the Rivian mothership was monitoring RivianForums, and saw this thread. They then contacted Tony...
Tony's buddy: "Hey Tony, just saw the odds on Rivian Forums at 2-1 that we won't get any email out about delivery dates..."
Tony: "Really, I'll take those odds. Let's see what's in the archives about delivery timing, change the dates, and get something out. That'll show them!"
Buddy: "How about putting in estimated delivery date?"
Tony: "Dude, don't push it!"

The fact that not a single person selected option 1 in the survey speaks volumes about how much confidence people do NOT have in Rivian's ability to A) Meet self imposed timelines and B) Communicate promptly when they know they are going to miss a key timeline.

Color me pessimistic but I no longer trust any 3rd party communication from Customer Service on future promises.

I am a firm believer in s00n.
I take it one step further and no longer trust ANY communication from Rivian. 😂
