Had an 8.00am appointment today for the hub knuckle check and torquing. The 12V battery change was done in January via mobile service and was told they could not do it as a mobile service (they didn't have the EDV, had R1T). Rivian followed up with making the appointment couple of weeks ago. Today was the first mutually workable date between us.
I was in-and-out in 40 mins. They included general inspection also. Got there at 8.00 and was back on the road by 8:40.
I had fully expected to have to drop the vehicle off and comeback at the end of the day or worse, in a couple of days. Not so. My wife had followed me to the service center to pick me up while the vehicle is to be serviced but was not necessary.
Hope this is sign that Rivian is getting on the top of their service center issues. The last time I needed to take the vehicle to the service center (Costa Mesa was the only option then) for minor adjustments took 10 days. The actual work was less than two hours of billing time.
The staff was friendly and on it, right away to help owners that came in at the same time.
