Congrats! Almost 3 weeks now and no issues here. Though I'm starting to think the delivery of my floor mats is going to be in the July - Sep 2022 delivery group.

Has anyone received both notifications on the same day?

Yes. That was my experience too. I was not contacted separately about the guide. His name just appeared when I started doing the 8 steps (sounds like AA).

Day 2 - 100 miles of around town driving with some highway.

No issues or complaints.

- It does attract a lot of attention!
- My face hurts because I cannot stop smiling!!
- Regen is perfect
- Interior is over the top
- Perfect size
- Worth waiting for!!!!!!!!!!


Wish List:
1. Driver seat to retract to a home position when exiting vehicle.
2. A step or running board for getting into vehicle.
3. A second key fob.
4. When pulling into garage the camera should come on automatically.

I am May 2019 pre-order just north of Boston. No word from them on first mile in the Boston metro for June 14. Rivian should do the right thing and at least let us see the vehicle.

FWIW, i was able to get on the Boston First Mile event. I had to chat/call them and ask for access which they granted. Had I not leaned in...i'd not have gotten an invite.

Furthermore, now I a guide has called me and it seems that i am making process in the system. For years I hadn't gotten anything other than generic emails and stupid announcements about price changes.

My point - Rivian requires lean-in participation and I don't recommend waiting for the process to work to you...you will need to work the process.

I, also, had access to the First Mile event in Boston, and had my drive 3 weeks ago. But it's been silence ever since, other than an email back and forth with CS about my experience. (they emailed me asking for feedback, which I provided). I don't get the sense if I ask them where's my guide, that I'll get any response to that

Agree with Running Boards, but I don't see an easy way to attach them. Wish Rivian had thought about this.

I don't typically like running boards, but it's undeniable that in All Purpose mode it requires a bit of a hop down for most people. I'd settle for a mode that drops it to the lowest setting at park - but that could have issues in certain situations too. I'll be interested to see what the aftermarket comes up with for sliders and running boards.

I park in sport mode right now, so its at the lowest setting. Height is actually perfect for me, but not for my wife. So I'm hoping someone comes up with running boards as an option at some point. Ford managed to do it without affecting efficiency too much, so it should be possible.

It makes me feel a bit creepy that my pre order date was 3/21/2021 knowing other folks with earlier pre order dates are still waiting.

OTA update 2022.19.03 went smoothly last night.

I wake up each morning now looking for excuses to drive it! It is soooo cool to drive.

The pics are not that good but is all that I have at the moment.

My wife and I are thinking of going old school and disabling the phone key and just using the fob.
