I don't think this is much different than any other vehicle. Tesla has a setting that will turn on ac and keep temps around 100. Maybe set the Rivian temp to the max, if you are leaving it outside?

Temporarily of course.

I tinted the glasses all around except the roof. It still gets pretty hot in Colorado summer last year. Now I’ve just got the roof blackout shade from Amazon. I’m hoping this would make it a bit cooler in this summer. Will see.

Need the deets!
Initially had it tinted 70% (essentially clear) ceramic tint. It helped quite a bit with the heat in our Florida sun.. then (un)fortunately had to replace my windshield due to a rock. Second time around, the tint shop recommended 45%.. it's subtle, reduces glare at night, and has REALLY helped the interior. I even caught myself driving without my sunglasses the other day!

I couple that with ceramic tints in the front windows matched to the rears. And I have a generic roof cover which helped a lot too.

I'm finally comfortable and not running the ventilated seats on high all the time!

I’ve seen a message on the app that the climate was running to protect the screens in the vehicle. Rivian know high temps can be bad, have a solution for it, implemented it. The climate will automatically run if temps get too high. What else would the OP like Rivian to do? And is it only a problem with Rivian because this is the first vehicle they’ve had that will show them the internal temperature? Is/was ignorance bliss?

Arizona hits 115-120 ambient and inside the vehicle temps exceed 160 in the summer, even without a glass roof.
No thanks.
My neck of the woods gets -20f in the winter which is also no bueno.
