These examples are far too tasteful and subtle. I went Full Griswold last year and plan to do so again. I think I’ll find a bigger wreath this year though.

I'd love to be able to do this, but don't particularly want to spend $1300 for two sets of Rivian crossbars that I'd only use once a year. Maybe need to investigate some of those cheap ones on eBay.

You _might_ be able to string them using the existing attachment points if the bulbs are small enough to weave through. Wouldn't be as extravagant as those with bars (can't wrap around anything), though.

Actually, now that I see this in writing, perhaps rig something up with 2x4's, some hardware, and a dream?

Trying to follow this thread to see what I need to purchase. I have the crossbars but it looks like maybe there's another piece the lights are supported by? If not then I should be ready to go

Alrighty then!! Yes, the thread subject says “Christmas light crossbar”, and these photos are awesome. The ingenuity is fabulous!!

I’m going to join in the fun here having just taken pictures of my Hanukah décor on my R1T. And I put these lights on after seeing this thread. So thank you for this wonderful holiday cheer with your awesome Christmas lights and Christmas spirit. They all look really great!!

As was mentioned earlier, you run the risk of getting a ticket doing this if you have the lights on while driving. I sent a pic of multicolor lights on my R1T to a few friends today and one pointed out this, which was on the local news just now.



That one's a little more excessive than what people here are doing, so, there is that.

I plan on replacing the current multicolor lights over the bed with plain red ones since the rules are red light facing to the rear of the vehicle and white lights facing to the front.

No, but my son is an engineer at Boeing. He works on the new tanker for the air force. He has stories.

I work at Intel's R & D campus in Hillsboro, OR. I do tool install for an electrical contractor. We de-install and install tools. Because it is the place where Intel develops the newest process for building chips, the some tools are replaced every time the recipe changes. We use a LOT of zip-ties.

I changed out the multi-color ones and went with just red C9 LED bulbs; hopefully, not have any trouble with the law. The red lights are pretty subtle compared to the light bar and the correct color for the rear of the vehicle. Turned out nice. Pic from 20 minutes after sunset and another almost 90 minutes later…
