Just got our R1S Launch Edition to replace the Model Y! Very exciting. Just fits on this side of garage (T goes on other side but there’s stairs here so I knew it would be tight).
Will do a write up in a few weeks on how a VERY early R1S VIN: 3XX is holding up as it approaches warranty (I’ll be bringing it in for a thorough check over before it’s up). So far, so good. Lucked out and it has the All-terrain package but owner just swapped for 22” Sport Dark right before trading in for the Cadillac EV. Not a huge deal but I like knowing the underbody shield is present.
Camp speaker also seemingly works just fine, even the fob and wristband work as they should.
One quirk I wasn’t aware of, my wife had to submit ownership docs and license to Rivian to setup the vehicle under her account (I’m primary on the T) and they said it will take 2-3 days. Doesn’t seem to affect much beyond using the app and service requests (I’m going to ask for the previous service log), but just a little quirk I hadn’t heard of previously about getting a used Rivian.
Oh and you all already know this, but the meridian sound system in here kicks the ass of my Gen2 R1T.
Proud to be “all in” on this company trying to make fun, powerful vehicles that are amazingly great to drive every day.
