Is there a Rivian wave/signal thing when we see each other on the road?

if y'all start some stupid rubber duck thing, i'm trading my truck back in.

;)
The rubber duck thing is just for someone to show appreciation for your rig in the Jeep world. It's normally a Wrangler thing, but I got a duck left on my Grand Cherokee one time and I thought it was funny. Legend has it that a woman started it one day as an act of kindness after she felt uncomfortable around a group of young Jeep owners. And it spread from there and became a thing. Jeep really is an incredible community. Seems like Rivian has the makings of a great community too.

thanks, but I needed that history lesson about as badly as I need a bunch of rubber ducks on my Rivian dashboard ;)

I'd probably just throw 'em in my glovebox anyway :CWL:

The Rivian wave is to set down the granola bar, drive sedately only barely glancing at the other vehicle, use signals as appropriate, and if there is absolutely no one to observe, give a slight chin up in passing, so slight that the other driver can't be sure it happened. These are vanishing talents.

Most of the Rivians I have ran across on the road, the drivers are usally to self absorbed to pay attention to anything other than their phone.

I think I have ran across around 100 of them on the road, and only 2 waved back.

So I gave up.

I waved at a identical twin to mine this past sunday, nothing. He even followed me for a couple miles, I waved 3 times, nothing.

In CO, I wave but rarely get a response. Tried flashing brights, no luck.
Maybe I'll start flipping other Rivians off?
