Is the Rivian Launch Edition a 2021 or 2022 model?

Model years might be more significant if they change designs yearly, but Tesla is interesting in that they make significant changes inside of a single model year.

I purchased my 2007 model year FJ Cruiser in March of '06. not sure if there is a standard or if it matters other than marketing.
