Yes, and it will not be cost effective to have an attorney or cpa do anything more than send 1 response letter. I’ll take it on if I decide to take the credit and it’s questioned since I can do the work myself. Maybe you can all start a go fund me if that happens

I most likely won't be the "test" case since I won't be getting my R1S any time soon. It really only takes one audit to determine the fate on the rest. I am happy to contribute to whomever is going to go through this first!

While the language is odd, my CPA (who owns one of the largest firms on the east coast) says the $100 is fine to claim the tax credit.

Do you have a binding opinion letter from this CPA stating this?
