That should be done on the onboard vehicle charger. The wall chargers for the home are AC chargers. The vehicles have an on board charger that converts from AC to DC when loading into the battery. Vehicles that support VtoH and VtoG should be making this DC to AC conversion before it leaves the vehicle.
No.
V2H/G systems are connected thru the DC charge port pins to the vehicle. The V2H/G hardware is on your wall, the vehicle side is just software.

Edit:
V2L systems do convert the DC to AC on-board and supply it via outlets. Rivian and Hyundai are providing 120V, Bollinger and Ford are promising both 120 and 240V capability

I stand corrected.....

I got an invite to an Atlanta event in a couple of weeks today.
Same - it's down at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. I'm up in North Fulton, so I'm gonna pass. Hope folks get some good info, though.

Ask them if the range estimate was done with a 1000lbs payload that Marques Brownlee was told by a Ford rep.
Ask them what the battery sizes are for the different range estimates.
Ask them about off-road capability and things like approach, departure, and breakover angles.
Ask them how much the truck weighs.

I know there could be some other factors here but doing some quick math, 148 miles of range and 57% of battery remaining would equate to 344 miles of range. Perhaps that is what you get without (or a reduced) 1,000 payload.

BWillR1T,

I think your calculation may be reversed. It would appear you extrapolated that 148 miles of travel took 43% of the battery and that the driver should expect to get 344 total miles from this charge (148/0.43 = 344).

I believe the screen is telling us 43% of the battery has been used, and the remaining 57% of this charge leaves us with 148 miles remaining. Therefore, the equation for total miles on this charge should read: 148/0.57 = 259.65 miles total for this charge.

This would mean that 43% of the range used got us 111.65 miles (259.65 Ɨ 0.43 = 111.65) and the remaining 57% of the battery should be good for the 148 shown on the screen. Is that right? So the 111.65 miles driven using 43% of the battery leaves us with an expected 148 miles left with the other 57%, getting us to about 260 total miles.

I'd hate for anyone to have their hopes of 344 miles per charge dashed by only getting 260 miles, but I believe that is what the math is telling us.

Please let me know if I got this wrong.

Here are a few more. I donā€™t understand the ā€˜kmā€™ notation in the dash. The charge ring was also showing two segments later in the day where it was three earlier. Vehicle was plugged in and charging most if the time but had stopped at one point. I mentioned this and they restarted the charge.

That is even more interesting, is the gauge wrong or the charge screen. The gauge says with 57% you can drive 150KM, the charge screen says 150 miles.

If Gauge is right and it is KM then
((150*100)/57)*.62 = 163.15 miles of range at 100%
If charge screen is right and is miles
(150*100)/57 = 263.15 miles of range at 100%

Seeing that itā€™s the ā€œchargeā€ screen I think youā€™re spot on. 57% charged, mileage is indicating what range that should get you.
