Hello Everybody!

I am Dan, from Toronto.

I am currently a student, and had a interest in EVs for a few years now, since I learnt of Tesla in 2013-2014ish.

Unlike most in this forum, I do not have a pre-order for any of Rivian's cars, and likely won't be able to afford one for at least another decade. However, I look forward to my time here!

Hello all.

I have not yet preordered, but I likely will sometime in the next year or so. I have been swayed a bit towards the Endurance or Hummer, but I'm undecided. I do love the styling and off road performance potential of the R1T.

I'm currently building a 1940 Chevy coupe with a Tesla LDU, and daily drive a Challenger. Speaking of which, can someone build an EV coupe please?

I'm also active on the Open Inverter forum and occasionally on the DIY Electric Car forum.

Hello! I am matthias. I come from Germany near Leipzig. We run a small animal park together with my wife and children. We save animals from all over Germany. We currently have a Volvo XC90 as a towing vehicle for our transports. With the upcoming RT1 from Rivian and the RS1 we will hopefully have environmentally friendly off-road vehicles with which we can help the animals. Best regards from beautiful Saxony! Matthias

Hello, Waid here. I have been intrigued by EV's for more than a decade. We purchased a Volt this year as a way to dip our toes into an EV. My wife immediately fell in love. I have been following Rivian since before they announced as I wanted an SUV for towing. My main area of concern is that there will not be adequate rural charging to make the R1S our main tow rig for our camping adventures. My trailer weighs around 5600lbs loaded. I have pre-ordered recently and have my fingers crossed that rural charging in Arizona is sufficient for our travels. -Waid

In this forum we have discussed and found that Rivian plans to have their own charging network in "adventure" venues. Hopefully this will ease the anxiety a little knowing that is their plan. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...-network-called-rivian-adventure-network.565/

Hello All.......FNG here.......ummm, where's the coffee maker?

So I'm here from a random directional vortex of all kinds of nonsense that somehow has me considering spending a god awful amount of money I've never before spent on a vehicle that's not even being sold yet. Geeeez......where do I go from that statement?!

Well then.......do you guys pass out free coffee cakes IF I find the coffee maker?

Where was I......oh yeah......so I had a Bronco on reservation and I watched long Way Up. From those two ingredients to having awareness of global environmental issues to annoying Tesla Model 3 owner friends consistently telling me I need to buy one to needing an off road vehicle to tow or load up a couple dirt bikes......I've found myself here. I have not pre-ordered YET but I'm leaning that way. I guess I'm here mostly figuring out if this is for me and whether spending a good $20k more then I though I would on a multi-use ADV rig is a good idea:whatsgoingon:

Hi, Paulo here......sooo, where are the restrooms?

@RivFly ,
I just think it's an awesome company with incredible vehicles. 700 hp with torque vectoring on road & precise independent control of each wheel (motor) off road, and either truck or SUV form factor is what sold me.

I almost bought a Tesla Model S after I first rode in one, but I'm an admitted truck or SUV guy. IMO, price to performance and value is excellent.

Anyone on here find themselves wondering who these members are ? Like age, professions, societal contributions? I find myself wondering who I am actually responding to or reading a post of. Is that just me? No offense to anyone in here but I do believe itā€™s an older crowd. Am I wrong?
