Had mine installed on Friday. Yellow welting mod @jebinc! No impact to range so far. did the L and T cuts and taped with Gorilla Tape.

How long did it take you to do the install with the L/T cuts? Thinking about going down that path but not sure if its worth the hassle.

@EV Sportline Thinking of getting the R1T sliders, but do they cover the OEM jack locations? Is rusting still an issue?
The sliders have jack puck locations integrated, works fine - but yes technically covers the oem point. There is no issue with the product, plus our warranty is second to none!

On our running boards, the factory jack puck point is directly accessible. On our sliders, the factory puck point location is maintained but the puck is now contacting the slider (the slider has a jack puck 1/2" port incorporated on it) -- which in turn is contacting the Rivian. It's a sandwich situation.

And yes, you can jack directly on the slider.

What we've seen is Rivian service is inconsistent in how they deal with sliders. Totally depends on the local service person and how they operate. Some, no problem - sliders are fine. Others, sliders are a problem and must be removed. Over time, I anticipate Rivan concedes that asking customers to remove Sliders to service the truck it utterly ridiculous, unnecessary, and an annoyance to customers. From an engineering perspective, there exists zero substantiation as to why removing the slider would be necessary -- the slider is far stronger and much more rigid than the Rivian subframe structure. So jacking on the slider where it simply sandwiches to the factory point is risk free and removing it so you can jack on a weaker and less rigid point is just silly.

@EV Sportline I love my EV Sportline sliders on my R1S. I've been in service twice since I've had them on but I don't know if the Orlando SC had to use a lift or not - I didn't hear anything from the SC about it. I do know that Discount Tire has had no issues using the lift for two tire rotations.

Question for you - if needed, could we cut a hole in the sliders with a hole saw to provide access to the original jack points? It wouldn't be ideal having 4 jack-sized holes in our sliders, but that might be better than paying Rivian to remove and replace them a couple of times...

Gang, we're focused on getting the 2025 parts live - soon as that is done, we'll look at these options - thanks for the suggestions!

@EV Sportline I've tried multiple pucks (jackpucks, rivigear, megawatt) and none fit into the lift point hole. Its not partially in, but none of it will go in. I understand that we can lift without the pucks. I've read somewhere that we should use a file to make the hole bigger. unless you have other recommendations.

Sounds like a little excess powder coating build up - yes you can use a file, sand paper or 1/2 drill bit to clear the excess powder coating as needed. Don't need to go aggressive, just enough for the puck nipple to slip in. Also, take the oring out for a little easier time as well. Thanks again!
