Heya everyone!

I've searched the manual and forums but couldn't find my answer and I'm turning to the broader community here.... how can I change the duration of my overhead lights being on? I'd like them to stay on longer.

As an example, when you open any door, the "overhead" lights come on, as expected since I have the "Lights On When Doors Open" feature turned on, but quickly turn off (IDK, let's call it 45seconds since I haven't exactly timed it); even with the door remaining open. I can't imagine keeping the overhead lights on while any door remains open would cause that much battery draw (they're LEDs) and would necessitate them turning off that quickly. Sure, maybe a failsafe could be programmed in that would turn the overhead lights off after four hours or something seems reasonable.

I suppose I'm used to my 20 year old ICE vehicle wherein I keep any door open and the overhead light stays on. I'd like something similar and or configurable in my R1T.

I agree they stay on way too short.

Can’t customize it but you can easily reach over the center display and turn it back on and off manually.

I agree, way too short, especially when I am loading stuff into the back of the R1S. They should stay on indefinitely.

I usually yell at Alexa to "turn the cabin lights on."

Make a recommendation to Rivian. They have a good history of implementing customer suggestions. Drive well.
