Install was mostly easy, setup is quick. Tent materials are high quality in my opinion. Love the roof windows.

Still room for a solar shower on the side.

I've been considering this as an option over the skycamp mini as you can open it on the driver's side without pooching the aero design of the hardshell versions.

Looks awesome. Thanks for posting this up.

Looks great! Why did you choose this over the skycamp 2.0? I’m trying to decide now…

The cross rails. I like that I could still potentially mount other things on top of the tent, a bike or a snowboard potentially

Yeah, that’s the draw for me, too… somewhere to stick traction boards. And maybe a jerrycan with 5 gallons of extra electricity

This is exactly what I was looking for. Great pics, thank you for posting!

I'm curious about whether an open tent would interfere in any way with the camp kitchen in use?

Thats a ProMaster camper van, I actually just sold it yesterday. I built it over the last 2+ years and traveled ~38k miles.

Nice! The iKamper looks tighter, more sorted, more aero, perhaps higher quality than the Yakima. +2 to the crossbars.

Thanks for posting.

Even as I have set it up I think it is behind the gear tunnel opening and there is room to slide the tent back some more.

So it looks like my regular x-cover would sit about 2’ over the back edge of the bed. I guess I’ll be putting it on the roof (or moving to something smaller)

Thanks for showing this. This is one of the models I was interested in. Looks like it is tucked nicely out of the wind. How is setup and take down? We camp in Utah - how do you think the cover would deal with a LOT of dust?

I see folks saying that they wanted room to mount showers and traction boards next to the tent.

My solution to this is a second set of crossbars on the roof to hold a shower, awning, and basket (to hold) whatever. Am I missing something - are there disadvantages aside from the $525 for the rails?

A couple of quick thoughts:

- Blocking the view out the roof
- Loss in efficiency/aero/range
