Just another reminder that if you’re letting Discount Tire or any places other than a Rivian SC jack up your car, watch them like a hawk. Even if they give you the dirty look hinting that you’re bothering them. Even if they ensure you they know what they’re doing.
There were older posts about Discount Tire jacking up Rivians at the wrong spot and damaging the undertray or other components.
I thought they should’ve got the memo by now.
It almost happened to my car this past weekend while they rotated the tires. I was running around checking the jack points as 4 guys using 4 floor jacks to jack up the car at the same time. I stopped one of the guy just in time as he was pumping up the floor jack. He lined up the puck to the screw hole instead of removing the flap covering the jack point.
