HEAR ME OUT...

What if we started a Rivian Exchange Program, vetted through forums or other means, solely for Rivian owners to loan/borrow our beloved vehicles throughout the country? Spitballing here but it would work like:
-A member makes their Rivian available within a reasonable distance of their regional airport
-The days accrued loaning could be used toward borrowing at other locations
-In lieu of using days, you can offer others reasonable non-currency exchanges (leave a decent bourbon in my center console and you get 5 stars)

Yada yada yada, you get to drive a Rivian at your cross-country destination and everybody wins!

Thoughts? Comments? Observations?

I don't think you really want people like me borrowing your truck

Let’s start with the important part. What are we calling “decent” bourbon?

Straight to the real question here. I find most bourbons that cost around the $50 range to all be at least decent. Some are good straight, others might get relegated to sours or old fashioneds but they’re usually always decent at the price point.

That’s a great starting point. I can’t think of many at that price I wouldn’t drink. Some are overrated, but definitely drinkable.

How exactly does the owner of the car "win" by handing it over to some rando who doesn't want to pay for a rental car on his vacation?

The owner gets to fart in YOUR seat in the future.

Buffalo, Makers, and Elijah are my mixers, so it's gotta be Angel's Envy, EC Toasted or Barrel Proof, or better... per day.

WL Weller barrel proof gets you at least a week!

Stick to Warm Showers and Couch Surfing where dirty hippies share personal space. People who can afford a Rivian are likely snob enough to not share it with someone outside of their bloodline.

Brutal. Come back to your roots, bruh!

I haven't Couchsurfed since before Covid, but it's basically that for us snobs! Come on, who's okay with me farting in their Denver-area Rivian mid-February? 🥰💨

There is already a mechanism for this - it’s called Turo. You can list your car on there to rent to anybody you want for the price of a bottle of Bourbon if that’s your idea of a good time.

The flatulent thing… for real, you don’t want this.

Also, my R1T in the last 4600 miles I have only got 1.58 m/kWh I drive it hard but I love it Haha. I am fine driving my own truck this way but trust me, when it’s not mine you really don’t want me to drive yours. I think I will need new tires about 14000 miles. (At 9500 right now)

I do let others drive it though. I love seeing how they like it. I usually go with them. I really do love this vehicle so much. So I get wanting to share it. I even dress him up for any holiday.
