I too have adapted to this closing method, feels strange at first but I'm sure it will become second nature.

Anyone else have a squeaky swingarm hinge on theirs?

I love my Rivian. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Recommend everyone buy one.

But....yes....mine are creaking now when I open and close them.

But not complaining or being nit picky.

Still love it beyond words.

I find the gear tunnel doors donā€™t latch all the time. I get the ā€œtunnel door ajar you wonā€™t be able to go fastā€ warning and I go out and push it so it latches. Itā€™s a truck why do we have to be carefulā€¦ Oh I forgot itā€™s an ā€œadventure vehicleā€. I guess Iā€™ll be careful to push it in the middle - and avoid the mud.

Dang it. I've been so gentle. I now have a crease on one door.

1. Can't believe I'm just now seeing this thread
2. I definitely thought that was an intentional design crease. Now I can't unsee this. šŸ†’

Yep, since about 12k miles. I'm at 22k now. Kinda got used to it. I've tried dry lube but have no idea where to spray it in there, so it didn't work.

I try to use the Frunk for storage any time I can vs. the gear tunnel. The gear tunnel doors seem a bit too flimsy for everyday use.

I have mobile service at my office tomorrow for the recall seatbelt check, I will ask the tech about it.

I also developed the same dent on my gear door (the top part of the door). Have any of you tried to remove the dent at a body shop? It bugs me that my car only has 500 miles, so quickly, it developed that dent.

Creaking must occur with time and uses. Mine is still quiet as new and not used too much. The one I test drive was like a squeaky haunted house door opening.

Most times I have it give it a good push or slam to get it to close all the way or other wise I get the same warning. Oh wellā€¦

I lift mine up until the latch makes contact, then I stand back 3 feet and get a jumping dash kick to center punch the door and ensure itā€™s really closed.

Jk. I throw mine up fast and it sort of slams closed.
